Summary: Shall the City of Eunice, State of Louisiana (the “City”), be authorized to levy and collect an additional one-quarter percent tax (.25%) (the “Tax”) upon the sale at retail, use, lease or rental, consumption, and storage for use or consumption of tangible personal property, and on sales of services in the City, all as defined by law, ($640,000 expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the Tax for an entire year) beginning July 1, 2019, and to run in perpetuity, with the proceeds of the Tax (after paying the reasonable and necessary costs and expenses of collecting and administering the Tax) to be dedicated and used to fund public safety salaries and related compensation?
