Appeals

The Appeal department is responsible for preparing the appellate records for Civil, Family, Juvenile, and Criminal records from the 15th Judicial District Court to a higher court. This higher court is the Louisiana Court of Appeal, Third Circuit.
Once the order for appeal is signed by a Judge and the necessary costs are paid by the appellant, the appeals clerk works closely with court reporters, attorneys, and the Judge’s office to prepare the file and send it off to Third Circuit.
For more information regarding The Third Circuit court of Appeal, you may visit their website at Louisiana Court of Appeal, Third Circuit or contact our office at (337)788-8881, extension 319.
